• Orphan Well Abandonment Assessment, Various Arizona Sites: Create technical and summary reports for project prioritization based on potential exposure and health risk estimates. Assess project logistics consistent with EPA regulations. Collection of soil samples, water level monitoring and bailed groundwater sampling. Create GIS figures showing well locations.

• Former Winslow Welding Site, Winslow, Arizona Measurement of water levels and low-flow groundwater sampling in monitoring wells. Performed soil vapor sampling.

• 7th St & Arizona Ave WQARF Site, Tucson, Arizona: Collection of air quality samples and operations, maintenance and monitoring data. SVE remediation system operation and maintenance. Sampling of permanent soil vapor probes for SVE rebound assessment. Passive diffusion bag (PDB) deployment and sampling.

• Dolly Madison Corrective Action LUST Site, Tucson, Arizona: Water level monitoring and low-flow groundwater sampling, including Hach colorimeter field testing for geochemical parameters. SVE wellhead gas readings and sampling. Data tabulation and preparation of figures. GIS analysis of benzene extent in groundwater and water elevations, and figures of analyte concentrations and physical parameters.

• Harrison & Millmar Dross Inspection & Repair WQARF Site, Tucson, Arizona: Erosional damage assessment and operation of heavy machinery to perform soil cap repairs. Preparation of photo documentation logs and technical memorandums.

• City of Winslow Public Works Yard, Winslow, Arizona: Developed site-specific Health and Safety Plan consistent with requirements of OSHA laws and regulations.

• 6th and Birch XRF PI, Cottonwood, Arizona: Collection of ground water samples, XRF readings and confirmatory soil samples. Developed site-specific Health and Safety Plan consistent with requirements of OSHA laws and regulations. Create GIS figures showing sampling locations within county parcel boundaries. Report preparation.

• Skyline Services LUST Site, Yarnell, Arizona: GIS analysis of benzene extent in groundwater, water elevations, figures of analyte concentrations, physical parameters, cross sections, and areal extent of soil contamination. Measurement of water levels and low-flow groundwater sampling in monitoring wells. Data tabulation and figure generation.

• Miracle Mile WQARF Site, Tucson, Arizona: Collection of soil vapor extraction (SVE) samples. Developed site-specific Health and Safety Plan consistent with requirements of OSHA laws and regulations.

• Queen Creek Landfill, Queen Creek, Arizona: Groundwater Hydrasleeve sampling and gas reading collections.

• Stone and Drachman PI Site, Tucson, Arizona: Performed soil vapor sampling from temporary vapor probes.

Previous Experience

• Environmental Health and Safety Specialist: Facilitate safety walk audits driven by incident and safety data analysis, identify, reduce, and control risks and hazards, and complete continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste, improve quality, and reduce cost; followed Environmental Health and Safety Assurance manual for compliance in regulations of air, land, and water permits with State and Federal Agencies; management of hazardous and by-product materials, chemical inventory assessments, Personal Protective Equipment hazard assessments, and machine guarding checklists, create and post weekly environmental, health, and safety talking points for internal and external CAT facilities; train and certify new hires in fall protection, aerial lifts, chemical hazards, and incident reporting.

• Lab Technician – University of Arizona: Determined characterization, quantification, and analysis of carbon using benzene polycarboxylic acids; represented department in cost-saving workshops and projects; developed assembly line balances and facilitated line speed changes.
