Hydro Geo Chem, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm nationally recognized for its expertise in applying advanced hydrologic and geochemical techniques to the solution of difficult environmental problems. We have developed a philosophy for environmental restoration that has minimized our clients’ environmental liabilities and saved them millions of dollars.

Our approach is based on these observations:

• A sound technical description of the nature and fate of the pollutants is necessary to gain the confidence and agreement of the community and regulators

• Properly defined problems of environmental contamination are rarely as serious as originally perceived by the public and regulatory agencies

• Cost-effective management of soil and groundwater contamination can be achieved without over-design and engineering

Our method is grounded in a quantitative approach to investigation and remediation. We begin each project by obtaining the client’s perspective and by clearly defining problems and needs. We then develop a sound conceptualization of the problem, focusing on the site-specific characteristics that control contaminant transport and will guide the anticipated remedial design. This careful, fact-based strategy allows us to work effectively with regulatory agencies, keeps project control with the responsible party, and reduces client expenditures and liabilities.
