Mr. Manning joined Hydro Geo Chem, Inc. in 2020 as a Field Technician. His duties at HGC have included environmental sampling; remediation system operation, maintenance and monitoring; data collection and interpretation, and equipment maintenance and management.

Representative Experience

• Orphaned Wells Project, Arizona Statewide: Site reconnaissance for locating and evaluating orphaned oil and gas wells. Oversaw drone surveying and video logging to investigate the wells. Oversaw road construction and backfilling/compaction of a pit to provide access for video logging vehicles and drill rigs. Provided insight on evaluation and investigation of orphaned wells. 

• 1st & Hopi PI Site, Holbrook, Arizona: Assisted with soil vapor exaction (SVE) system installation, including fencing, gravel and granular activated carbon (GAC) vessel placement. Assisted with SVE startup. Installed soil vapor probes. Performed soil vapor and groundwater sampling, and SVE operation, maintenance and monitoring (OM&M), including SVE air quality sampling. 

• 7th St & Arizona Ave WQARF Site, Tucson, Arizona: Performed manifold vent installation, helium testing, soil vapor sampling, OM&M, 1,000-hour servicing, and SVE influent/effluent air quality sampling. SVE pressure study. SVE system shutdown, startup and rebound sampling, passive diffusion bag (PDB) deployment and sampling. Data tabulation and figure generation, 

• Hwy 260 & Main WQARF Site, Cottonwood, Arizona: O&M including GAC switching assembly and insulation installation, sediment filter maintenance, water filter replacement, water sampling, GAC changeout, PDB deployment and sampling. 

• Former Dolly Madison Corrective Action LUST Site, Tucson, Arizona: Performed low-flow groundwater sampling and water level monitoring. Performed thermal catalytic oxidizer and air injection O&M & readings, SVE wellhead gas readings and sampling, SVE rebound readings, SVE air quality sampling, soil vapor survey, 1,000-hr servicing, knockout condensate switch out, system shutdown and restart, air injector blower carbon blade replacement. Performed data tabulation: mass extraction data and calculations, O&M readings, SVE wellhead readings table, and figure creation. 

• City of Tucson Landfill Groundwater Sampling, Tucson, Arizona: Water level readings and groundwater sampling from monitoring wells at multiple landfills. Hydrasleeve deployment and retrieval; water level snapshot; VOC, cation/anion and PFAS sampling; and site reconnaissance. 

• West Central Phoenix- North Canal Plume WQARF Site, Phoenix Arizona: Performed soil and gas vapor sampling. 

• Harrison Rd & Millmar Rd Dross WQARF Site, Tucson, Arizona: Performed erosion repair and preventative maintenance of soil cover. 

• Rio Salado Parkway Blower Ventilation System, Tempe, Arizona: Blower ventilation system operation and maintenance including, including 1,000-hour oil changes. Performed vault monitoring for explosive levels of methane. 

• TOUA Well Drilling Project, Arizona: Depth to water readings during pump testing and data tabulation. 

• Former Winslow Shell, Winslow, Arizona: Performed O&M, groundwater sampling and Millar depth to water readings. Data entry and time series plots. 

• Winslow Welding, Winslow, Arizona: Performed SVE system shut down/startup, O&M including 1,000-hour oil change, GAC changeout, SVE Summa sampling, groundwater sampling. Generated soil vapor, water level, water quality and purge parameter, and air quality data tables and figures.

Previous Experience:

U.S. Air Force 2011-2017 - Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Dedicated Crew Chief with Honor) Directly responsible for maintaining an aircraft through launch, recovery, inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance. Responsibilities included cleaning, inspecting, servicing, maintaining and performing scheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft. Crew chief responsibilities included management of crew. Mentored and trained new crew chiefs.
